My goal is to pursue a career in plasma physics and nuclear fusion energy. After I finish my bachelor’s degree at UAA, I intend to enter a PhD program in plasma physics. I have been working in the Plasma Lab on a study of the Multipole Plasma Trap, especially doing computer modeling of how to load particles into the trap and how to measure the trap contents. I have also worked on enhancements to our Planeterrella auroral simulator experiment.

I am studying the Multipole Plasma Trap (MPT), especially using Tech-X Corp. VSim particle-in-cell simulation software to model plasma loading and diagnostics in a 3D computational model of the trap.
